I took a trip to spend some time with one of my best NYC friends in her family's mountain cabin in Tahoe, and then off to see my best college friend in the bay area. Though I lived in California for five years during college, these areas are places I have not spent much time in, and therefore, they expanded my definition of California. It was a restful trip with much restorative conversation and contemplation. Getting behind my SLR also helps me to slow down and engage with my present surroundings. Here are some of the images from that week.
